Have Fun This September In The Jenkinson’s Aquarium

Jenkinson’s Aquarium Accredited By The AZA

Last March, the Jenkinson’s Aquarium was given long overdue accreditation by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). It is very difficult for aquariums to get the approval of this organization because of the high standards they uphold as regards which aquariums to give this special honor to.

One of the reasons why Jenkinson’s was accredited was because of the various activities it offers visitors, especially the children. From the SEAfari Camp to the Junior Keeper programs, kids can lean so much about marine life in such fun ways. This September, a new set of activities is being organized for the enjoyment of your children.

First, there is the Toddler Make and Take activity. Created for children three to five years old, both kids and their parents can register for this activity. Children will be taught how to do basic arts and crafts, enjoy storytelling sessions, and learn more about marine life during this one hour session. It costs US$18 for you and one child to sign up for the activity.

Endless Fun For Both Kids And Parents In The Jenkinson’s Aquarium

Second, there is the Behind the Scenes activity. Designed for children five years old and older this activity will allow your child to become aquarium keeper for a day. He or she will learn about how the sea animals in the aquarium are taken care of, from the feeding to the cleaning and even training. This activity is free, but pre-registration is required.

Third, there is the Penguin Pointers activity. If your children love penguins then they should definitely sign up for this activity. Here, they will learn more about how to take care of penguins. They will learn how to feed them, play with them, and so much more. This activity is for visitors five years old and up. The fee is US$13 per child and US$20 per adult.

If you want your children to experience the best aquarium experience ever, then you should take them to the Jenkinson’s Aquarium and sign them up for one of the many exciting activities available to them.
